I have a been an active Entrepreneur for 5 years this September and I will be the first to admit that along the way you will have to make some hard decisions and some more hard changes. Not necessarily hard as in hard impossible, but hard as in parting with something you fell in love with. I’m a writer at heart. Without being able to write I’d be crazy–without a doubt. I’m also an Entrepreneur. I’ve launched a Podcast, built a consulting boutique, launched a social event for women in business, and created SMU. Now after 5 years I’m changing the game. My game.
If I can be honest, I fell victim to the online world of gotta look this way and gotta look that way to the point that I no longer knew how I wanted to look and ever more, how I actually looked. Now I know.
It happens, but a true entrepreneur knows how to bounce back. Because I have a few brands, I wanted to make sure that I’m not confusing my audience with what I do and who I am. When I first launched 5 years ago I was territimmons.com I was still growing and learning. In the last 5 years I’ve learned what it means to truely be true to myself.
This is a short post with a huge message. Just be you and if you need to change something keep changing it until it becomes it. When you’re proud then you’ll be able to give back to your community in a proud way. Stay true to you and the message you want to send. Don’t get caught up in the hype of the look. Just remain true to your purpose and everything else will come looking for you. Keep going no matter what.
